Chris Tarry is an award-winning and critically-acclaimed bassist, composer and bandleader in NYC, and has performed with John Scofield, Mino Cinelu, Jim Rotondi Group, Oz Noy Trio and many others.

New York City based Chris Tarry is one of Canada’s most successful and celebrated electric bass exports. With three Juno Awards (the Canadian Grammy) for best Contemporary Jazz Album, eight Juno Award nominations, and other high profile accolades, he has been establishing himself as one of North America’s top bassists.

Since moving to New York in 2003, Chris has shared the stage and recording studio with top musicians such as John Scofield, Ben Monder, Mino Cinelu, Dave Binney, Jim Rotondi Group, Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Donny McCaslin, Lew Soloff, Chris Cheek, Oz Noy Trio, Gene Jackson, DJ Logic, and many others.

Chris has produced eight critically acclaimed albums under his own name and has appeared on over 100 albums. His most recent Juno award-winning CD “Almost Certainly Dreaming” has been garnering high praise from jazz fans and critics around the world.
