Markbass is proud to be a partner of the Dresdner Drum Bass Festival 2016.

Sept. 5, 2016, midnight
The Dresdner Drum Bass Festival 2016 will be take place on September 17-18 in Dresden, Germany and the workshops with drummer and bassist as rhythm group are a “highlight” of the event.
The workshop of the Grammy winners MICHAEL LEAGUE (bass) and LARNELL LEWIS (drums) from Snarky Puppy is one of the "outstanding acts" during the festival this year, supported by Markbass and Yamaha.
The music of Snarky Puppy is offering a lot of footage in terms of rhythmic structures. Although, there are numerous shifts, syncope and partly daring fusion of different styles but the music never loses its lightness while listening. Therefore, Snarky Puppy is better known for Pop music or even Mainstream as for Jazz.

Michael and Larnell "Groove Construction & Variation" workshop is scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 19:00 at Groove Station.
Same day at 16:00 Michael League will also have a solo materclass about "New Music Business" at Lofthouse, still sponsored by Markbass.

The festival artist lineup also features Markbass artists:
Junior Ribeiro Braguinha - 17/09/2016 at 16:00 - "Brazilian Fusion" - Lofthouse
Philipp Rehm - 18/09/2016 at 15:00 - "Odd Meter Funk /w Ralf Gustke" - Groove Station
