Dino D’Autorio was born in Penne (Pescara) on 1954. He moved with his family to Milano when he was only two years old.
At 14 Dino starts to play drums and studies Classical Guitar with Maestro Abner Rossi. He then switches to the Electric Bass under the guidance of Maestro Mino Fabiano. Later on he also studies upright bass at Scuola Civica di Musica of Milano. Thanks to Gianni Dall’Aglio, historical drummer of Celentano, he also starts recording  as a back ground vocalist for the Clan of Celentano.
Together with his friends Walter Calloni (drums), Mauro Paoluzzi (guitar) and Stefano Pulga (Piano), he forms “The Cast”, a band which gives him the opportunity to record for many different artists.
Along with guitarist Giorgio Cocilovo (DV Mark artist) and drummer Alfredo Golino (Mark Drum artist), he formes a trio which brings him to perform for various music shows in Italy and Europe,  giving him  the opportunity to play with worldwide famous drummers like Simon Philips and Steve Gadd.
In 1991, after attending a bass class with Maestro Monfredini (Milano Conservatory and Rai) Dino graduates in Harmony and Composition for Big Band with Maestro Filippo Daccò at CDM in Milano. Actually, he is studying Jazz with Markbass artist M° Massimo Moriconi.

Dino also workes as a music arranger with several artists. Here the most significant ones:

Dino often writes music for TV commercials.
He performes in many teathre shows like:“Sogno di una notte di mezza estate” (Gabriele Salvatores), “Grease” (1997), “Fame“ (2004) and, as a sound-engineer, he worked for Caino e Abele”, the first Italian musical written and directed by Tony Cucchiara.
Dino is one of the most wanted bass player for TV shows. The list of TV shows he worked for goes on and on…… “ 20anni dopo, Una Rotonda Sul Mare (three editions), “Buona Domenica 1995” (orchestra M° G. Vessicchio), “Viva Napoli” (from 1996 to 1999), “Bravo Bravissimo” (from 1997 to 1999), “30 Ore per la Vita” (from 1997 to 1999), “Note Di Natale (orchestra M° G. Vessicchio) “Io Canto” (orchestra M° M. Pica, 2009-2010-2011-2013).
For seven consecutive years (1985/1992) he was voted the “miglior bassista in assoluto”  by Guitar Club magazine referendum.
Since 2000 Dino is the artistic director of Guitar Club and Drum Club, two major Italian magazines.
Dino is also involved in an intense teaching activity.
During the 80s and 90s he  holds many educational seminars throughtout the whole Italian country.
In the 90s, he is also a teacher at the Institute of Design & Communication (IED) in Milan, and since 1996 he is the head of the Bass department at Centro Professione Musica di Milano (CPM), teaching bass.
His know-how and experience as a teacher made him the menthor for bass players like Paolo Costa, Lorenzo Poli, Luca Visigalli, Antonio Petruzzelli, Linda Pinelli, Paola Zadra…. and many more!
As an author, Dino released two teaching methods for the Electric Bass: “Theory and Practice of Intervals” and “The Groove Trainer“. Since 2014 he is the holder of Bass&Groove, didactic tutorial of the well-known portal Guitar Club Live.
