Born in 1991, Simone started studying guitar at seven years old. He then discovered the bass guitar around the age of thirteen, and fell in love with it immediately. After studying it at the CDPM Academy of Bergamo, Simone attended the Conservatory of Milan and the Conservatory of Como, where he had the chance to study with great masters such as Lorenzo Poli, Marco Micheli and Riccardo Fioravanti.
In 2016 Simone joined, as bassist, Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, a young it-pop band, recording 3 successful albums and 1 EP. In 2020 the band competed at the Sanremo Festival, achieving a place on the podium. After 6 years, the band counts many golden and platinum albums, EPs and singles, in addiction to several sold out gigs all around Italy. During the 2022 summer tour, Pinguini Tattici Nucleari scored more than 250.000 spectators all over Italy.
Moreover, Simone has been performing The Beatles music with the Revolver project. That made him possible to collaborate with the journalist Ernesto Assante, and the two musicians Cesareo and Radius. In addiction to that, Simone has been studying jazz music since adolescence, genre that lead him to study the double bass few years later. He joined the CDPM Europe Big Band from 2015 to 2018, performing also at the Milano’s Blue Note several times, and collaborating with singers such as Paola Folli and Sarah Jane Morris.
“I have been using Markbass since I started playing the bass guitar, and that is why being part of this family is both a pleasure and an honour for me.”—says Simone—“Thanks to Markbass my basses will always have a clear and smooth sound!”
