Tony Corizia is a bassist, songwriter, producer & arranger.
Over the years he has had collaborations as a session musician, both in the studio and live, with numerous artists and producers such as Steve Bush (Stereophonics), Beppe Cantarelli (Mariah Carey, Mina), Tollak Ollestaad (Christina Aguilera, Gino Vannelli), Jeff Thall (Brian Ferry), Bill Rieflin (R.E.M.), Angelo Valsiglio (Laura Pausini), Maurizio Vandelli, Moda’, Federico Zampaglione, Jake La Furia (Club Dogo), Studio 3, Dj Thor, Gianni Morandi, Giusy Ferreri, Stefano Bollani, Remo Anzovino, Massimo Ranieri, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) & Ian Paice (Deep Purple).
In the Dance branch he played bass with Bassential, Cino, Matteo Marini, Alberto Traversi, Adam Clay, Kim Lukas, Nathalie Aarts, Barbara Fava aka Barbarina, Morris Capaldi, Mario Piu, Rochembachach, Manuela Doriani, Elvio Moratto, Soulskin, Rexanthony, Paolo Aliberti & SDG.
He is co-author with Fabrice Quagliotti of the song “Kids from Mars” by Rockets, the first single from the album “Wonderland” and in which he played bass and did all the backing vocals.
Tony composed the soundtrack for BATMAN “Dark Tomorrow” (Kemco / DC Comics / Warner USA) in collaboration with Tot Taylor and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London.
He was also the bassist of the hiphop crew Hit-Aliens with whom he created the single “Es la colegiala” (FullFX / Warner Music) with the “cameo” of Chuck D (Public Enemy), and as solo artist he released two instrumental albums (“Bassology” and “Basswoodoo”, published with Warner), which earned him two covers of Acid Jazz magazine.
He was the author of the educational column “Bassology” in the magazine Strumenti Musicali and also has three teaching methods to his credit, published and distributed by Volonte’ Ed. (“Metodo per basso a plettro”, “Bass Chords” e “Suona in una Band”).
He is currently the bassist of MotelNoire (with which released one album and had an Italian tour with Le Vibrazioni) and a member of the musical project Basstronautz (debut album published worldwide for Plaza Major / SONY Music, with the collaborations of actor Neri Marcorè and Fabrice Pascal Quagliotti). The first single “Space: 1999” (a remake of the theme song from the famous TV series of the 70s) reached position # 37 in the “new disco” section of the Billboard world singles chart.
