Mauro Arduini was born in Alatri (Frosinone, Italy) on 1990, he started playing electric bass at the age of 10 years old, initially as self-taught student, then studying the instrument with the M° Giampiero Merluzzi from 2003 to 2009 when Mr. Merluzzi suggested he start studying the double bass. Started studying double bass with M° Stefano Cantarano, Mauro was admitted to Conservatorio di Musica Licinio Refice of Frosinone, attending the double bass classic course under the guidance of M° Luca Cola.
After a few years at the conservatory he joined the Giovane Orchestra of Teatro Dell’Opera in Rome, with which he has performed in that theater and in various other Italian theaters, and during the summer of 2008 they made a record with the collaboration of Chateaubriand.
For several years Mauro was the double bass player of the Orchestra D’archi G.Tartini in Latina, conducted by Maestro Antonio Cipriani, they collaborated regularly also with Maestro Luis Bacalov (Oscar prize for the soundtrack of “IL POSTINO” by Massimo Troisi).
He has played and/or recorded (in rhythmic section or orchestra) with artists like: Patti Smith, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Annie Lennox, Bonnie Tyler, Tony Hadleyh, Renato Zero, Nicola Piovani, Josè Carreras, Elisa, Mireille Mathieu, Claudio Baglioni , Amii Stewart , Nek, Ike Willis, Al Bano, Gigi D’Alessio, Alex Britti, LeBurn Maddox, Ron… just to name a few.
He also opened shows for Victor Wooten, Dennis Chambers, Bob Franceschini, Scott Henderson, Alain Caron, Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and he has recorded many CDs and soundtracks and he collaborated in studio with various artists, as well as having made more than 1300 concerts in Italy and abroad.
He is now teacher of electric bass and double bass at Musicando by Daniela Mizzoni (Frosinone), Centro Studi Musicali Santa Cecilia (Veroli), MusicaPolis (Alatri), L’Oasi di Davide Pettirossi (Rome).
