Hermes Locatelli, born in Milan in 1970, is a highly versatile Italian bassist with a prolific career spanning major live tours, prime-time television shows, and extensive studio sessions alongside top-tier artists.
On the live circuit, Hermes spent over a decade as the official bassist for the renowned comedy show “Zelig on Tour,” collaborating with Italy’s most celebrated performers, from Leonardo Manera to Checco Zalone. His high-profile television credits include performing on major national networks for hit shows like “Zelig” and “Striscia la Notizia“. Throughout his career, he has also shared the stage and toured with acclaimed pop artists, including Sanremo Festival winners Jenny B and Riccardo Maffoni.
As an accomplished session musician, Hermes boasts a dense portfolio of studio work; he collaborated with world-renowned drummer Jonathan Mover on Veronica Aslinn‘s album It’s the Game, recorded the album L’Equazione with Sanremo winner Antonio Maggio, and tracked bass for artists such as Fabio Del Toro, Stefano Magnanelli, and Alexandre.
Driven by a deep passion for instrumental music, he recorded Modus—a contemporary fusion album featuring musicians of international caliber like Pino Bifano and Lorenzo Poli—and regularly performs in a Jazz-Rock trio alongside Walter Calloni and Michele Quaini.
Currently, Hermes is on a continuous tour across Italy’s major theaters with Jerry Calà‘s hit show “Una vita da libidine.” This collaboration frequently brings him to the national TV show “Domenica In” where he performs alongside iconic musical figures such as Ivana Spagna, Donatella Rettore, Ronn Moss, Al Bano, and Fausto Leali.
